Contribute to our 2nd Responders
Mark your calendars for Tuesday May 5th to donate to the Sacramento Covid-19 Artist Relief Fund!
We are participating in this International Day of Giving to support our artist community during their time of need.
Learn more about the fund here: https://broadroom.org
Your donations have a huge impact in the community. Artists that have received the funds have used them to buy groceries, pay bills, and get medical treatment. These artists are also supporting the community through their creativity during this time by making masks, managing mutual aid networks, advocating for vulnerable populations, and providing help to isolated disabled folks. They really are the community’s 2nd responders in a crisis.

Message from the Body The Star: Our body, or unconscious, is inviting us to keep the shining future in mind. It is asking us to be open to optimism, see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, and keep walking the path we are on. It make feel dark or uncertain, we are experiencing a collective trauma, and discomfort is normal — but it will not always be this way. We must continue towards a collective shift in consciousness, but that can only be achieved by doing the shadow work now while we experience the magic dark.
Message from the Mind Temperance: Our mind, our consciousness, centers on frugality. This is to be expected as we enter into a third month of staying at home and feel the collective effects of the pandemic. We may feel called to tighten our budgets, limit our outside contact, and isolate ourselves. I would also say that this card represents a need to redirect our energy to causes that empower and bring abundance to the collective — consider limiting your spending with large corporations that are profiting from the pandemic (like Target, Amazon, and Instacart) and redirecting that monetary flow of energy to local folks. Temper your expectations of yourself and others, let go of that which does not serve you (is it time to unfollow some accounts on Instagram?), and reallocate energy to whatever makes you feel good right now.
Message from the Spirit Novice of Cups: Our spirit craves a childlike curiosity around our emotions. Consider your feelings through out the day, allow yourself the space to feel them, and notice how different people/events/activities affect your emotional state. This week, we are called to deepen our emotional connection with ourselves.
What I’m into right now…
New vegan spots in Sacramento: Rabbit Food Revolution + Pure Soul Plant Based Eats — want to support local restaurants, eat ridiculously yummy food, and experiment with an herbivore diet? Well these two local businesses have got you. I am always on the hunt for the best vegan burger + these two have it pretty well figured out.
Transforming anxiety through daydreaming: I’m a future-tripper, anxiety prone, and a chronic over thinker. So, I’ve started rewiring my brain to get excited about the joy I will experience in the future whenever I feel myself spinning out into worst case scenarios. Lately, I’ve been daydreaming about starting a podcast and writing a book. How are you turning worry into magic?
