Call for artists: help us determine our programs for the next year!
We want to hear from our community to help guide our programs for 2020/2021
How can we best serve you in 2020 & 2021?
As we plan for the rest of 2020 and into 2021, Broad Room is looking for input from artists who have been impacted by the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. In order to best serve our community, we put together a survey to gauge the need of artists right now.
We want to create programming that works for historically underrepresented artists, so we need your help!
Follow this link to fill out the survey now. It only takes about 5 mins + will help direct our work and funds at Broad Room to benefit you.
We will be applying for grant funding from the City of Sacramento for a program designed to heal the community we serve — but we want our programming to be guided by the community. The application is due July 22, so please complete the survey by July 15! Your experience, knowledge, and opinion matters to us! Have a say in the future of Broad Room!

Last chance for Releasing Imposter Syndrome!
Imposter Syndrome is a particularly insidious and pervasive phenomenon, especially among artists who identify as women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, non-binary, and/or disabled. It can stunt our growth, keep us from achieving our goals, and silence our voice. In this workshop, we will identify the roots of Imposter Syndrome in ourselves and how it manifests — self-sabotage, perfectionism, and limiting beliefs.
We will work through the ways in which existing harmful structures like capitalism, racism, homophobia, and the patriarchy keep us from realizing our potential.
This is a donation-based class meaning that you only pay what you can afford. The class will be about one hour long on Saturday July 18 from 1-2pm PDT. If you cannot make it to the class in-person, a recording will be sent out shortly thereafter.
About the Instructor:
This class is led by Claire Curley, the Executive Director of Broad Room. She focuses her work on the magic of uncomfortable transformation and nurturing the resilience of creatives. Claire is 30, survived her Saturn Return, and loves pickled onions.
